Our Equine Therapy program has an incredible history, and is a beacon of light, offering solace and strength to those who need it most. Our original therapy mares, Star and Princess, served as trained police horses for the Florence Police Department in Florence, SC. Their journey is deeply intertwined with the legacy of my late father, Lt. Samuel Toney, to whom our organization was founded to honor. Princess and Star were more than just horses; they were my father's partners on mounted patrol and his cherished companions. After his passing, these noble equines found a new purpose within the Samuel Lee Toney Sr Foundation. Our foundation provides police-based mentorship of the youth through a variety of roughly 17 programs-- one being equine therapy. These magnificent creatures continued to serve the community, offering healing and wellness to children, adults, and even myself as I grieved the loss of my father.

Through routinely scheduled sessions, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where participants can connect with our remarkable hooved partners, and experience the profound benefits of equine-assisted therapy.

But our impact goes beyond the routine. We also open our gates to the public on special equine activity days, creating opportunities for our community to connect with these incredible animals and share in the therapeutic benefits they offer for a single experience. It's a unique opportunity of joy, bonding, and learning, made possible by supporters like you.
