Description:

November 29th is Giving Tuesday and what better time to show your support by donating to Kings Way International. We are a 501(c)3 community focused organization whose mission is to empower people for purpose so they can enrich the world around us. Our bullying prevention initiative "Why Bully Me?" is just one of the major ways we help families and communities break the cycle of bullying. By donating, you will help our operation and program budgets, hire additional trainers, hire an assistant/social media person and provide our services at a reasonable cost to low income families. We are able to reach different types of people and learners with a multi-layer approach using the following:

  • My Bully, My Friend book
  • Bully Stoppers and P.U.S.H. programs
  • Why Bully Me? stage production

The initiative includes our Bully Stoppers and P.U.S.H. program to educate youth and parents on what bullying is and what it is not. Our youth-based programs are interactive and focuses on developing social skills; connecting the impact bullying has on your mental and physical health; recognizing your self-worth and positive reinforcement as well as bridging the responsibility between the youth and the adults.

The programs are based off the My Bully, My Friend book which we wrote to introduce the topic of bullying and ways we can break the barriers and behaviors behind bullying. The book along with other resources are included with the program. To add another level of learning, our production, also named "Why BullyMe?", gives that visual thematic look at bullying that may occur in schools and at home from peers and adults.  These three components are used to reach many ages, races, backgrounds, and social statuses. Many people that bully may have at some point been bullied themselves. We want to break that cycle.

One of our goals is to purchase a building that will allow us to house our programs and have theatre space to perform our productions. Incorporating the arts in such a difficult topic opens up so many other opportunities for youth and adults. They also find other skills and passions they didn't know were there. We have seen this over the years and we know expanding what we do will reach many more people.
