Description:

Barronelle Stutzman, a Christian florist, referred her friend and long-time customer to other florists because she could not in good conscience provide full wedding support for a same-sex wedding. Barronelle is a devout Christian. In her religious tradition, marriage is a sacred religious ceremony between a man, a woman and Christ. It's a covenant with the church. To participate in a wedding that violates those principles violates the core of her faith. Although the couple received flowers, the Washington State Attorney General, and later, the same-sex couple, sued Barronelle.

The court found her liable for violating the Washington Law Against Discrimination and ruled that both the state and the couple may collect damages and attorneys' fees from Barronelle's business and personal assets. Barronelle has appealed her case to the Washington Supreme Court, but the 70-year-old grandmother is facing losses which potentially threaten her business, her home, and her savings.

Because she stood for her faith, she faces staggering judgments which threaten her financial future.
But you can help! Your contributions will help Barronelle rebuild her life.

"They can destroy me, but they cannot destroy my God, or his Word."

About the campaign director:

I am a friend of Barronelle Stutzman and this campaign exists with her knowledge and cooperation. Barronelle is seeking protection not only for herself, but wants to see funds raised be available to help other business owners that face similar legal challenges for operating their business consistent with their faith.

The highest priority is to protect Barronelle and her livelihood. But Barronelle is seeking protection not only for herself, she also wants to see funds raised be available to help other business owners that face similar legal challenges for operating their business consistent with their faith. Funds will be paid directly to a trust established to assist Barronelle and those in similar circumstances. The gifts donated to the trust are not tax deductible, but they are greatly appreciated.

Funds may be used to help cover any outstanding legal fees and costs imposed from the opposition or they may also be used to help replace the assets taken as a result of the legal challenges. The total cost to Barronelle is unknown because the legal challenges are ongoing. If the funds provided by donors exceed Barronelle's needs, the funds may be used to cover those same expenses for others who defend their constitutional right to live consistently with their faith.

Mission Statement:

Please pray for my country, Switzerland. So far we have been spoiled with our freedom. However, in a month's time the people will vote on an antidiscrimination law that of course sounds very good but will take freedom away. Up to now it would not have been possible for the legal system in Switzerland to treat people like you have been treated, but that might change if the new law gets introduced.

We should first pray for those who don't know Him. The answer to every problem in this world is Him.

I am so sorry for your troubles, and I have found the site where we can donate to your struggles.

We (my husband and I) are gay. And we are so grateful for our freedoms in our country - The United States of America.

We are also both Christian, Gay and Republican. We bless our meals. We give thanks. I personally acknowledge my Christianity, and While I know "the Bible" condemns homosexuality, I know that "Jesus" never actually has been on record to have stated "Homosexuality is a sin." He, himself, never even came near to saying this.

AND I know that Jesus, with regard to "Sin" considered any known sin to be equally a-moral and even "Religiously" worthy of stoning ( for example: Prostitution). Stoning is a hideous death (I am a hospice nurse, so I know what all kinds of death looks like), but Jesus forgave the prostitute (and all sinners) without condition. And she then was not stoned. Her life was preserved through grace and forgiveness. Her is Jesus' exampled response to sin.

And when Jesus was on the cross, he offered salvation to both a murderer and a thief for which these two were also being crucified as Jesus was being crucified for simply speaking God's Truth to a corrupted nation and generation.

By Jesus Life, I realize stoning and crucifixion never needed or needs to be so, but it was and is a reality....even so figuratively done. The point of God's grace through Jesus life was not to condone killing and murder, string and crucifixion, but rather to forgive and always grow in and have faith in God through Jesus' example.

Jesus showed us the ultimate Grace of God which is Freedom to be free to live our highest values and Faith in God in loving our Neighbor as ourselves, and also that first we Love God as he loves us.

Thank you for your sacrifice that should never had been made into one. I feel so badly for what you are going through.

My husband and I will donate to help a little bit. Evil people have cursed you (Evil, to me, is to withhold freedom or destroy freedom...or to suppress freedom), and we know that God's grace is freedom. We would contribute what we can to help undo this evil curse that has been placed at your feet. In denying the gay couple flowers for a wedding that you did not spiritually agree with, and in doing so YOU DID NOT, IN ANYWAY, TAKE AWAY THEIR FREEDOM TO LOVE. IN FACT, you offered them more choices without conditions, and so you empowered love! You truly are a Good Christian. We add our faith to your Fatih...and we offer our prayers to your prayers as well.

Peace...and Love through the love that Christ himself exampled.
