Gran Gathering is a new program honoring the elders of the community. “Gran” comes from Haitian Creole, meaning an elderly person deserving respect. The idea began when Angelica visited a beloved woman, who community calls Gran, who once walked to the market daily to work but now stays close to home and often feels lonely. 

At Gran Gathering, elders will come together to break bread, share fellowship, and enjoy the company of others with similar life stories. Through high protein meals, conversation, and prayerful connection, we hope to bring joy, encouragement, and a true sense of community to those who deserve it most.
