Renewal Life is right in the middle of its Church Planting Season, and on September 15, 2019 we will be hosting our first service inside of a Public School right here on the East Side of Colorado Springs. Why a school you ask? The answer is simple, we noticed that it was schools in our city with more than 60% of its children coming from households that have been declared to be in poverty. When we received the report that it was more than 20 plus schools with more than 50% of its students were below the poverty level and more than 5 schools in the same community with levels above 75% we knew we had to act on it. We don't want to be another church looking to build another building and put up more fancy banners when the people in our community is struggling. It is not until we know the need or see the need that we become responsible for bringing change. Not every church can take on everyone of the challenges that plague our world but here at Renewal Life this challenge is worth fighting for. We are investing in the future generation and aiming to help our educators eliminate the challenges of educating buy helping to bridge the gaps we can see.
