Throughout the Beaumont area, churches have been making strides to reach students on the campus of Lamar University.

In 2004, we began as a small Bible study group. In the following years as we partnered with a number of local churches, our vision of making disciples and evangelism began to increase.

With a growing student base and an internship program, our campus ministry took on the name of RELEASE.

Finding that our vision was similar to the missions statement of the nationally recognized ministry of Chi Alpha, in 2015 we began our affiliation process.

Today, Chi Alpha is known by many in the area as their doorway to reaching college students at Lamar.

Chi Alpha was established in 1953, and can be found on more than 300 campuses throughout the U.S. and around the world.
