Description:

My name is Crystal Whitmire and I live in Maysville, GA where I am currently employed by Imagine Missions. I have been married since 2014 to my high school sweetheart, and we have two beautiful girls, Aria and Emma, together. During my short career so far, I have spent time working in accounting for a fire extinguisher company, and as the treasurer for Imagine Missions (before being employed). I grew up in the same local community that I still live in. I graduated from high school and went straight into college at Georgia Southern University. I did not however graduate as I got married after my freshman year in college, and my husband and I decided to move back home to be closer to family. I am currently a student at the University of North Georgia pursuing a degree in management, with intentions to complete a masters in nonprofit management. I am currently on track to graduate by 2023. I began my relationship with Imagine Missions in 2012 when I traveled over my Thanksgiving break my senior year in high school on a mission trip with my church. From the second I stepped off the plane I knew that I had found my passion. After my first trip I knew that I would be involved with this ministry for the rest of my life. However, it was not until 2018 that God revealed just how I would be involved. Melissa called me and asked me if I would take over the position as board treasurer. I was apprehensive at first because if you had told me in 2012 that I would be serving as a treasurer dealing with finances, I would have laughed at you; however, the position really was God ordained. I spent 2019 serving as the treasurer on the board and in January of 2020 I was officially hired as Imagine Missions’ first ever CFO. I served in that role until September 2021 when I was officially hired as interim executive director. Imagine Missions to me is a beacon of hope in more than just the community of Despinos, Haiti, but also around the world. The light that shines through people as they speak of Imagine Missions and how proud they are to be a part of the Imagine family is why I love being a part of such a strong mission. This hope is why I continue to choose to do what I do every single day.
